It would not surprise me if Pansy became frustrated with Draco’s tolerance, broke up with him and started dating Blaise because he is a “proper” Slytherin whose morals were not changed by the war. Rowling had stuck with Ginny as this sweet and shy character, it would’ve been cute if she had ended up with Neville.Even though Harry/Luna is my OTP (One True Pairing) and I loathe Harry/Ginny with a passion, I do like the idea of Neville and Ginny. It would have been nice to see two shy, quiet kids find love and grow as characters by helping Dumbledore’s Army fight Lord Voldemort in the seventh book.It would’ve been awesome if Draco and Ginny started a forbidden romance while they were at Hogwarts, and that helped Draco make the decision to renounce his family’s beliefs in pureblood superiority.
If you, like me, still feel that Harry would have been better off falling in love and marrying anyone but Ginny or loathe the romance between Ron and Ginny, then you’ll love the following list of I have never liked the Harry Potter/Ginny Weasley pairing because it seemed so random.Plus, if Harry and Draco had actually taken the time out to get to know one another, perhaps Harry would’ve been able to help his boyfriend escape from the Death Eaters before they tried to force him to kill Albus Dumbledore in As much as the character of Ginny Weasley irks me, I do think her less admirable qualities (such as being a bully and making fun of other women) would have been tempered by Luna Lovegood’s influence if they were dating.Ginny does seem to be very close with Luna, and even defended her BFF from bullies that tried to taunt her for being “weird.” It would have been nice if Ginny realized that her feelings for Harry were just a stupid schoolgirl crush, and she eventually fell in love with her pal Luna.Tonks seemed a bit rebellious—there were a few hints that she disliked her mother’s old-fashioned ways, which is why she went by her last name instead of her first—and Bill definitely seemed like the rebel of the Weasley family with his long hair and job as a curse breaker for Gringotts.I could easily see the two of them hitting it off if they were both single. Rowling hammered the point home in the books that Tom Marvolo Riddle/Lord Voldemort was incapable of falling in love and didn’t understand the emotion, but if he did have the capacity to love, he probably would’ve wound up with Bellatrix Black if she never married Rodolphus Lestrange.
